MAGNET is staffed by people.

Real humans who will help you with technical difficulties, choosing the right equipment and giving you the benefit of their years in the music industry. You may choose an automated studio and pay less, but the experience will also be substantially less.

We have 4 good-sized rehearsal rooms to offer.

Each features strategically placed acoustic boards and bass traps to absorb unwanted frequencies, allowing you to actually hear what you are playing.

The equipment is maintained in real time, 24/7, so you are guaranteed an uninterrupted rehearsal.

Magnet prides itself on maintaining a creative environment for all types and standards of musician.

We recognise the importance of human interaction, which is why we created the chill-out common space, where you can meet other muso's or thrash out some ideas with your bandmates.

All you need to do is bring your instrument and leave the rest to us.

Although you can do the playing!

WELL-EQUIPPED MUSIC STUDIOS

Each room has a minimum of 8 XLR inputs.

Rooms 1 and 2 have a mixer amp up to 1.2kw output.

Speakers are RCF Art300 tops and 600 bass bins.

In our opinion, these are the best speakers for vocals available.

Each room has been insulated and soundproofed to a level that means you are not disturbed by other noise.

Bass traps and well-placed acoustic boards allow for a clearer sound.

Room 3 has a Dynacord 1000-powered mixing desk.

Speakers are Logic range CM 15 Tops (500w each) and CM215 Subs (1000w each).

These are perfect for Electronica or bands with DJs, etc.

We only use the industry-standard Shure SM58 vocal mics.

Standard backline equipment can be hired separately.

These include Marshall/Laney valve guitar heads and 4x12 cabs, Line 6 Combos and Hartke/Peavey Bass amps, and Mapex Pro M series Birch drum shells.

Our prices start from £10 per hour for solo artists - room only. Backline equipment is available from £1 per hour. Please contact us for a full breakdown of prices.

We take your safety very seriously at Magnet.

Each room has a separate circuit-protected ring main.

All our equipment is PAT tested and maintained to a very high standard.

Fire alarms with strobe lights have been installed in each room for your safety and our peace of mind!

YOUR SAFETY & SECURITY

Locked storage units are available to hire. The premises are protected by video surveillance and an alarm system.
